Big congratulations to the whole of the GM Fundraising team, including our Managing Director Dean Hodges, who raised an incredible total of £208,000 with this summer’s From Russia With Hope charity bike ride.
The final cheque has now been handed over to the amazing team at the Hope House Children’s Hospice in Oswestry, just in time for Christmas.
This was billed as the last ever GM Fundraising charity bike challenge and it turned out to be the most epic – 2730 miles through 10 countries in 12 days, raising the biggest single total from any of the rides.
For Dean, this was his third time taking part, having previously ridden Route 66 in 2013 and the Border to Border challenge in 2016. During that time, customers, colleagues, suppliers and friends have been enormously generous in backing his efforts and we’d like to say a really big Thank You to everyone.
For 2020, GM Fundraising’s next challenge is the all-women Peak, Paddle, Pedal event which is aiming to take the total raised by the charity over the past 25 years to an incredible £2m. More details are here at: www.gmfundraising.co.uk
