    Environment Requirements for Logikal

    Network Sharing and Windows Permissions

    • 1GB Network speed from Server (Logikal source) to user desktop
    • Windows users need the Modify and Read & execute, Read and Write permissions enabled for the following locations;

    The network drive where Logikal is installed
    C:\Users\AppData\Local\OFCAS <- Local User
    The ORGATMP folder under C:\ORGATMP

    • Network drives must contain a drive letter as mapping a directory without a drive letter is not possible.
    • Using the program application via a UNC path is not possible.

    Firewall Settings

    The following ports need to be opened for Logikal:

    • Server USB dongles communicate in the local network via the ports TCP / UDP 1947 and via Broadcast.
    • Downloads and uploads use the passive ports FTP 50000 – 52000.
    • All program updates (IP-Address: 84.201.70.172) use the ports FTP 21 and 11965.

    Classify Network Drive as Secure

    The classification as “secure” ensures the necessary program stability in everyday work and optimises the performance of Logikal.

    • Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and press the “R” key.
    • Enter “inetcpl.cpl” in the following window and select “Internet Options” opens.
    • Select “Security” > “Local intranet” > “Sites” > “Advanced”.
    • Add ” \\*IP address network drive + *IP address”. For example, \192.168.15.66 and 192.168.15.66.

    Anti-Virus Software Exceptions

    Prepare the configuration of exceptions in the antivirus software:

    • Store the certificates with which the program application is signed. The certificates can be extracted from the logical *.exe files. Some antivirus software supports the observation of the operating system certificate store.
    • Level up the trustworthiness or the assigned trustworthiness group in the antivirus software:
      • for the .exe/.dll files in the program directory or
      • for the trust level of the code signing certificate.

    Set the exceptions in the antivirus software for:

    • The Logikal directory, for example in the network drive where the program is installed; incl. all folders you have to open until you get to the program directory.
    • The temporary directory, for example under C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\OFCAS <- Local User
    • The ORGATMP folder, for example under C:\ORGATMP

    If necessary, set further exceptions including their subfolders:

    • All *.exe files under;
      • X:\LOGIKAL <- network drive
      • \UNC PATH\LOGIKAL <-UNC PATH
      • C:\Users\AppData\Local\OFCAS <- Local User
      • X:\LOGIKAL\bin\iUpdate.exe
    • Path exceptions;
      • X:\LOGIKAL <- Network Drive
      • \UNC PATH\LOGIKAL <-UNC PATH
      • C:\Users\AppData\Local\OFCAS <- Local User
