Before installing the LogiKal Revit plugin, please close all Revit applications on your computer.

In the project centre in the File menu, click on “Settings”> “Additional settings”.

In the next window, select the “Interfaces” tab.

Click the “Install” button in the “Revit Plugin” area.

The LogiKal functions are then available in Revit under the “LogiKal” tab.

Manage positions and projects

Create LogiKal projects

To create a new project in LogiKal via Revit, click on “Create LogiKal project”.

Create LogiKal position

To create a new position in LogiKal, click on “Create LogiKal position”.

Export to LogiKal

To export a position from Revit to LogiKal, select this function.

Import to LogiKal

To import a position from LogiKal into Revit, select this function.

Edit position

Use this function to edit a position in the LogiKal element input.

Split position

If you have a higher number of items, you have the option of dividing them up into several new items. You can find out more on this topic in the section entitled “Split position “.

Data exchange

Export file

With the “Export file” function you can save a LogiKal position/project as an external B2L file. The advantage of this approach: You can easily send this file format. The recipient of this file can then simply import it into LogiKal.

In the Revit toolbar, click on “Export file” and save the position/project as a B2L file on your hard drive.

Open the “Project Management” in LogiKal.

Click on “Import” in the toolbar and select the B2L file.

Two import methods are available in the following program window.

  1. You can create a new LogiKal project for the Revit file.
  2. You can add the Revit file to an existing project. In this case, select the project in which you want to insert the file.

Import file

To transfer a LogiKal position to Revit, you can import an external file via an L2B file.

In LogiKal, select the position that you want to export to Revit.

Click on the “Export BIM Project” option in the menu on the left and save the L2B file.

Open Revit.

Select “Import” in the toolbar and select the LogiKal position that you want to import into Revit.

Miscellaneous

Component list

You can output a component list in Revit that contains all LogiKal positions. To do this, click in the “Miscellaneous” area on “Component list”.

Detail section

With the function “Detail section” you have the possibility to display sectional drawings from LogiKal in Revit in detail.
